Watching birds fly is magical…we may see it happen every day, but it never ceases to inspire awe in me that so many beings have evolved to live and move in so many different ways. This necklace is inspired by my musings about birds and the fantastic idea that because they can fly they are able to get closer to the moon.

White enameled reclaimed steel evokes the lunar surface as we see it; black enameled reclaimed steel bird silhouettes are fused into the white enamel. Each piece is hand sawn, enameled, and finished. The pendant is approximately 1 1/4 inch tall by 2 inches wide and the necklace is completed with an 19 - 21.5 inch adjustable oxidized sterling silver chain.

All jewelry is handmade from a minimum of 50% reclaimed materials. Each piece is unique, so the item you receive will vary slightly from the photograph.
