The solar system is amazing, the universe hard to comprehend…when I think about the vastness of all that exists outside of our small blue planet I feel utterly small and insignificant, but I am also gobsmacked by the beauty of all that we can see and that we don’t know.

This simple, lightweight necklace is inspired by the solar system that we call home. Recycled sterling silver and brass concentric circles represent the orbits of the planets around the sun (I did use some artistic license by including only some of the planets). Measuring approximately 1 inch in diameter, the pendant hangs on an adjustable (from 17 ½ to 21 inches) oxidized sterling silver chain. This necklace complements the Third Planet Earrings.

All jewelry is handmade from a minimum of 50% reclaimed materials. Because of the nature of handmade objects, the item you receive will vary slightly from the photograph.
