Every piece of April Hale Jewelry has been handmade with love and care, and should be treated with respect.
Enamel can chip if bent or struck, so please be careful not to drop, bend, or shove your jewelry into your pocket. Steel should be kept dry (or promptly dried off if it gets wet), and sterling silver should be stored in an airtight bag or box away from sunlight to prevent tarnishing.
In the event that your jewelry breaks, please contact me and I will gladly fix it if possible. If I determine that the piece broke due to a fault on my end, I will repair it at no cost to you.
Most of the sterling silver that I use, excepting ear wires, has been treated with a natural patina called Liver of Sulphur. Liver of Sulphur turns sterling silver black by reacting with the small amount of copper in the alloy. This patina will come off over time if you wear a piece frequently. If you would like to have this patina reapplied, I will gladly do so for you!
